# Any Token as a Fee Token

On BeeZee, almost any token can be used to pay network fees — one created here, or one bridged in from another chain — as long as it has a liquidity pool paired with BZE. The same applies to any custom fees an app charges: those can be collected in that token too. All the people using your app need is your token; they never have to hold BZE, and the blockchain does its work quietly in the background.

With enough liquidity behind it, a token can make the whole chain feel like it was built just for that project — its token pays for everything, everywhere, apart from the network's own staking, which stays in BZE to keep the chain secure.
